“Connection is why we are here, it is what gives meaning to our lives.” – Dr. Brene Brown

Dr. Brene Brown is a social scientist who often speaks to a core issue for so many people, VULNERABILITY.

Here’s the thing, we all have craziness in our lives.  Researchers and scholars call it states of dysregulation, but I just call it craziness.   All of which can be caused by fear, criticism, not feeling “good enough”, shame or guilt, loss or abandonment, broken relationships, and the list goes on.

The bottom line is that we all walk and live each day with these invisible wounds that no one else can see that impact how we connect with others.  Opening yourself up to connecting with another person is risky business, and often uncomfortable.  However, if we never take the risk we may never really know how connected we could be to the ones we love the most.

The current neurobiological research highlights that the best way to get back to balance from a dysregulated state is by geniuenly connecting with another person.  Defensiveness (the lack of vulnerability) blocks connection.  The best way to find healing is to practice being vulnerable with a safe person.  This may be with a spouse, friend, in a small group or with a good therapist.

Get Connected, Practice Vulnerability and Win Your Life Back. It’s more than worth it.
