“To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.”

― Henri Bergson

Have you ever felt like the world around you wasn’t made for you? Like you’re living a life that doesn’t quite fit who you are? Maybe you’ve experienced trauma that feels out of place in your current situation, making you question whether you even have a right to your pain. Perhaps you’ve always felt the need for someone to help translate the world for you because it seems like others speak a different language. Or maybe the way you experience life feels so different from how your loved ones do that it creates a profound sense of isolation.  If any of this resonates with you, it might be time to work through these feelings together. I’m here to help you bridge that gap, embrace your unique experiences, and find a sense of belonging in your own life.

I have always admired superheroes—their ability to return from immense pain, monumental loss, or the worst moments in their lives and transform it into a powerful drive. This has inspired me to follow in their footsteps. This inspiration has led me to pursue a career in mental health counseling. I love working with trauma survivors.  I hold a deep passion for the people who overcome their challenges in life. I enjoy working with all ages in individual therapy, along with couples and families.

I am passionate about working with neurodivergent clients and their loved ones, helping them navigate challenges while embracing their unique strengths. My experience as a behavioral therapist has allowed me to support children and families in achieving meaningful, functional change. I believe in a compassionate, individualized approach that fosters growth, understanding, and self-acceptance. By incorporating solution-focused strategies and a strong support system, I strive to empower neurodivergent clients and their families to build fulfilling, balanced lives.

My Experience Tyler Dews

I believe healing happens through connection to yourself, to your strengths, and to a strong support system. My approach is solution-focused and rooted in resilience: I want to help you build on what’s already working while we tackle what isn’t. Drawing on my background as an EMT, RBT, and retired firefighter, I bring a whole-person lens to therapy, one that considers physical health, nutrition, and community alongside emotional well-being. I have a particular passion for working with trauma survivors, neurodivergent clients and their families, and anyone navigating major life change and I work with individuals, couples, and families of all ages.
