Counseling Intern

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” – Brene Brown

As a therapist, I believe in the healing power of being truly seen and heard. As a counseling intern, I aim to walk alongside individuals, especially those who have felt invisible, unheard, or left behind. I know what it feels like to face life’s hardest moments without anyone to turn to, and that’s why I’m passionate about being that safe place for someone else.

Life brings challenges—some loud and overwhelming, others quiet and persistent. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, or addiction, I offer a warm, judgment-free space to process your story, rebuild your sense of self, and find your footing again. I particularly enjoy working with teens and adults searching for hope, healing, and a healthier way forward.

My Experience

Before entering the counseling field, I spent years in service to others—mentoring, supporting families, and showing up for people during some of their most difficult seasons. These experiences deepened my desire to create meaningful change by becoming a mental health counselor.
As a practicum intern, I provide individual counseling under supervision and offer support for clients navigating trauma, mood disorders, substance use, relational conflict, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed.

My Education

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in health care Administration, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am under the supervision of Shahidrah Cowgill, LPC-S, NCC.

My Availability

I am taking new clients in person at the Little Elm Office, Mondays -Thursdays from 9 am to 11 am.
I am also available on select Saturdays by appointment only.
