Chris Nelms
LPC-Associate
People often reach out for counseling support at their greatest time of need or emotional pain. Life’s journey is rife with challenges, trials, and moments of self-discovery, and seeking counseling is a testament to accessing the wisdom necessary for understanding, recovery, and healing.
My Experience:
My career in Human Resources has spanned over 17 years, and I have dedicated my work to fostering organizational growth, supporting diverse teams, ensuring a positive work environment, and guiding individuals through work-life challenges and crises. My professional experiences have given me direct exposure to medical crises, grief and loss, suicide loss, mass shootings, family struggles, and unexpected life tragedies—each of which has shaped my deep passion for counseling and supporting others on their healing journey.
In my counseling work, I specialize in supporting women and men navigating high-conflict relationships, narcissistic abuse recovery, and addiction-related challenges. I also enjoy working with men’s issues, adolescents, couples, blended family dynamics, and those coping with separation and divorce recovery.
I’m blessed to be married and raising three children in a culturally diverse, blended family—an experience that deeply informs my relational and family-focused approach to care.
