Notice of Practice Changes

This posted notification refers to upcoming changes to our current In-Network insurance and EAP contract status.  As of September 2023, our In-Network status with all insurance companies will change to Out-of-Network, and our private pay pricing and rates will be instituted for all current clients.

In an effort to provide proper advance notice, and ethical due diligence related to your mental healthcare services,  we hope to provide clarity on the changes that will go into effect in the next 45 days or less dependent upon your insurance provider.

Here is what to expect:

  • We are not dismissing any of our patients and want to make this transition as smooth and as easy as possible.
  • We will still be considered an Out-of-Network provider with all major insurance companies and you may still use your benefits.
  • Due to these changes, we will no longer accept EAP authorizations
  • We will also no longer offer insurance verification and submission of claims on your behalf
  • You will be responsible for verifying your own insurance benefits and submitting your own insurance claims with a superbill from our office for services rendered.
  • We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to inquire about if you have Out-of-Network benefits to cover the cost or a portion of the private pay cost of counseling/behavioral health services
  • To provide continuity of services you will be able to use your benefits until September 2023, the exact date will be based on your insurance provider’s contract end date.
  • Our practice is instituting a private cash-pay model. You will see an increase in our standard rates for the premium services our providers offer in-office and via telehealth.
  • The rate of service for individuals, couples, families, and specialized support will be specific to each provider.
  • We will provide a super bill for any and all services so that you may submit documentation to your insurance provider to seek reimbursement for the cost of your care.
  • We will continue to accept all major credit/debit cards, HSA/ FSA cards, cash, checks, and CareCredit to cover the cost of services.
  • This notice will be posted in our office, on our website, and mailed out to active clients
  • Please be advised that a new Informed Consent will need to be signed for sessions that are offered after September 2023 to adhere to the new provisions of the practice and to obtain proper informed consent following the transition
