I am excited to share her article “Our TO DO List” with you, a perspective on Health, Wellness and God’s Word .
Is our daily to do list and priorities based on our schedule or God’s plan for us? When we hear that question, most of us would probably say, “Yes, for the most part. I attend church, bible study, exercise when I can, eat as healthy as time allows. God and family are at the top of My To Do List”, is what you may say. However, is your to do list based on YOUR schedule and urgencies or God’s plan for your daily regime? We passively declare God in the midst of our life, health, careers and family life, expecting him to line up with our anticipations. But the truth of the matter is that God’s plan is what matters, not ours and if our plan is not lined up with his will and his way, it will not happen.
Seeking God daily for his direction and leadership prior to going about our day and seeking his face prior to situations arising will better prepare us for what is to come and allows us to move in an orderly and purposeful manner.
Acknowledge him in all our ways and he will direct our path…
Do you seek God for His daily plan for your life, health and wellness?
Medical doctors give us their expectations and plans for our life ( i.e. good blood pressure, managed weight, good lab values, medication compliance) and we are quick to comply, for the most part. We change our eating habits, exercise and become compliant as long as it is not an inconvenience. We do not create a habit; we change to fit the circumstance. We do not make a lifestyle change, to have lasting results; we change to have a good report on our next doctor’s visit. Change is something that can be reversed. Transformation has no ability to return back to the way it used to be.
Based on the following scriptures God’s priority for our own health and wellness is to:
- Treat our body as a TEMPLE. Temples are beautiful, majestic, and honorable. It gets respect just for what it stands for.
- Offer our bodies as a living sacrifice in all that we do. That means gluttony, smoking, drinking excessively and disrespecting our body is not worth offering.
- Be joyful. Focus on your positive statements and acts, being a light wherever you go and whomever you come in contact with.
- Know that you are already HEALED. Claim it!

Your body is a TEMPLE of the Holy Spirit….
Give your body to God as a living and holy sacrifice….
A joyful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been Healed.
So challenge yourself, and evaluate your life and priorities in regards to your health. Are you giving it your all to maintain the wellness that God has promised? If not, start today in making small steps towards Greatness, Health and Wellness.
